Officially a member of RWA!

In light of my impending (less than a week, now!) first publication, I decided to reward myself with a Romance Writers of America membership. Feel free check out my still-rudimentary myRWA profile page. I look forward to networking with other writers in this genre.

In other news, I'll be finishing Tiara's Foxtrot Fantasies (Studio Seductions #3) early this week, then editing Taletha's Salsa Sweethearts. Then I'll be writing the fourth Studio Seductions book, and then I'll take a break from the dance world for awhile to pursue two new ideas. More on those as the plans start to take shape.

Now available for pre-order!

I'm thrilled to announce that A Bride For Two Studs is now available for pre-order! And I'm already selling copies!

It was amazing when I sent off the book to the editor. Amazing when I signed my contract. Amazing when I did revisions and proofreading. But nothing is better than the little sales report telling me I've sold books. My dream has come true!

Cover Art!

Wahoo! I got cover art for A Bride for Two Studs and I sent the final revisions off to Siren today.

I love it! Especially the way that Carissa is looking out at the reader, as though she's defying them to say something about being in the arms of two men at once. And I'm so excited that the book is so close to being done. July 29th really isn't all that far away.

I'm hoping to finish the rest of my revisions for A Bride for Two Hotshots by the end of the week, though my editor has given me until the 21st. Still, I want to finish early so I can get a jump on my next Studio Seductions book. I'd like to have that turned in by the end of the month, for sure. I have a feeling I'm going to have a working weekend or two this month. Not that I'm complaining. I lead a charmed life, really.

Researching the newest series

I'm in San Antonio for the weekend, which meant some required stops at Cheever Books and Twig Bookshop. I got three books, all chosen to help me research the series I'll be starting when I finish Studio Seductions.

Here are the books I selected:
  • Scenic Driving Texas (3rd edition) by Laurence Parent
  • Roadside History of Texas by Leon C. Metz
  • Montezuma's Serpent and Other True Supernatural Tales of the Southwest by Brad Steiger & Sherry Hansen-Steiger
I'm not going to say much more about this new series yet, but I'm sure this gives you some clue as to the subject matter.

I plan to focus on revisions for both of my Male Order books this week and start Studio Seductions #3 on July 18th. I should begin the yet-untiled series in mid-August or early September. I can't wait!
